Flowers Bloom Anyway: Grief, Grace, and Growth

Coming March 3, 2026 | Pre-Orders Open December 2025

I never set out to write this book.

In the months after my husband died, I was drowning in grief and anger. Writing became my way of processing it all, and at first, I thought I was writing a memoir about those early days—raw, unfiltered, and titled Shit Not to Say When Someone’s Husband Dies. But when I revisited it a year later, I realized: I can’t write this book. I was so angry then, and while I don’t regret feeling that way, I also knew that wasn’t the story I wanted to tell.

So, I tried again—this time as a self-help book. I thought maybe I could guide others through grief, offer advice on how to survive it. But that didn’t feel right either. Grief isn’t something you solve, and I didn’t want to pretend I had all the answers.

Now, after all the rewrites and all the reflection, Flowers Bloom Anyway has become what it was always meant to be: my story. A narrative of how I rebuilt my life—not despite my grief, but because of it. It’s about the choices I made in the aftermath, the ways I’ve learned to live with loss, and how I continue to choose an intentional life every single day.

This book isn’t just for widows. It’s for anyone who has ever experienced a “before” and an “after.” Anyone who has had to keep going when they weren’t sure how. It’s not a guide, it’s not a step-by-step process—it’s just proof that no matter what happens, we can keep growing. Because even in the hardest seasons, flowers bloom anyway.

Mark your calendars! Flowers Bloom Anyway launches on March 3, 2026, with pre-orders opening December 2025. I hope you’ll join me in this journey and find a little bit of yourself in these pages.
